I just grad.....

So I just went back to poli to take that paper with 'Diploma' written on it! It was exhausting! Mukah is a far reach from Labuan..... Even though it's like 500km from here, more or less. I didn't want to go at first, but my family insist to go. I already said that the drive is pretty long and there's nothing in Mukah to see. I even offer to go alone... You know.. cause pictures can be taken at another time and studio...

The flight to Mukah are limited and expensive, and there isn't really a direct route to Mukah from Labuan. We have to come through Miri first.. But since my father is never wanting to board a plane, a bus it is..

So we depart 3 days earlier from Labuan. Leaving the chickens, cats, and fishes to our neighbor. We stop at Brunei a few hour and took a bus to Miri. We arrived at Pujut Corner, and my father was very startled to see the Boulevard town. Well, Miri have a lot of Chinese resident, it isn't really a big of deal to me. The next day we took an early bus to Mukah. That was 12 hour drive in total. My sister face is plastered with disappointment. She ask me where the buildings are.

Hey, it's not my fault, I've already warn them!

The next day after we arrived at Mukah, it is the convocation rehearsal. In my opinion, it didn't went so well. It don't feel like a rehearsal at all, the briefing are insufficient. I had to take the robe in the evening. And wait a few hour for another agenda. I suppose to take a medal that afternoon. It was okay, I guess... But I think they forgot to include my name in the screen. It was disheartening.

The actual day was very embarrassing. Graduate are in disorder. Some were even late, but not so much. Some forgot to bring their medals, but that because they didn't inform us as soon as possible after the previous event. That's why I said that the briefing were insufficient. The briefing was practically our guidebook read aloud. There's no such thing like informing our assembling time or what to bring. But of course one must always comes in early.

They announce it suddenly that morning(at 7.40) that the march in will start at 7.45, hey even I don't know that, because my guidebook tell me that we supposed to march in at 8.00. And what with the timing? If they wanted us to march 15 minutes earlier, they should've told us yesterday OR inform us earlier than 7.40!

So we march...... But the parents are still outside of the freaking hall! WTH!(Wow That Hilarious!) So we march back to the assembly point. After the parents are all in. We march in and took a seat.. and waited...... I sit in the front row—because of the medal—in front of us is the VIP seat. It was still early in the morning and not all of us had breakfast—because of the sudden change in timing—. At least they could pass a bottle of water or something. Even the parents are thirsty! Some are in need to use the toilets. But we sit like the obedient Children we are. So a person decide that no~~ She must go the the toilet!! That was after sat waiting for more or less than half an hour. She was stop on her way out because we were supposed to strip off the robe first... oookaay.

More people went off to the toilet after that. Hey, no one was really there to watch over us—or at least ask is there's anything wrong—in the first 30 minutes after we march in. So we didn't know that maybe we should go to the toilet earlier! After we waited for another long minutes the VVIP finally walks in. The ceremony went pretty quick after that. I got to go to the stage twice! Trice if include the other day. We'll I think that makes my parents somewhat happy. The list are short for my semester, with only 4 graduate getting the awards and 2 from the next semester. Oh it's getting short! But that about to change.. I think. Because the place is being pick out by more students nowadays.

It wasn't exactly the worst Convocation in PMU history ever, but it wasn't really pleasant if remembered all the way. I know official ceremony protocol, and I have no problem to follow it. But the host—and their attitude—was just unpleasant. I don't like it. It was exhausting rather than pleasing. I don't think that the previous convo was this messy.. Sure the LCD projector was broken in the early morning, but that was fixed by the crew pretty fast. (and to think that I was the one who turn that projector off the night before... I'm pretty lucky to check the projector first thing in the morning! I'm only a camerawomen...)

My day was pack in those 2 days. We had dinner for the alumni, the night before the convocation. And it was... I don't even know... I don't think its even worth mentioning......

I DON'T EVEN HAD A TIME TO GET MY BLACK GOLDFISH!

Like seriously, I went there to Mukah, sleep, wake up, attend rehearsal, rent the robe, take the medal, shop for my foster parents, dinner with the alumni, sleep, wake up, sit for 3+ hour, get an empty folder, sit for another 3+ hour, get another empty folder, took pictures, wait for the studio pictures, return the robe, get my DIPLOMA..... then I went to Igan to my foster family, an hour drive from town. The next day we went back to Miri to Brunei and then to Labuan. One of my chicken is gone. =(

Rants end-

Congrats me! I'm very proud to accept the Diploma in IT(Rangkaian), Pingat Ketua Jabatan & Anugerah Kecemerlangan Akademik & Kokurikulum JTMK!

dream house

When my sister came back home here last Raya. She make another house plan on her tablet. I make the replica in google sketchup. I forgot to mention about what I've been dreaming to do to a house.
  1. A watermill
  2. Solar system
  3. Hot water tanks
  4. Ventilation system
Since the land area supposedly have a stream. I want to have a watermill!! They're very pretty! I'm positive that my father will approve a pond to go with that.

I've been looking for a solar panel. I've always wonder how all the latest residential park have those panel on their roof. It's a great way for energy conservation. Our current house usually go with 300KW a month. That is a lot.

We never had a hot shower in this house. Actually, we didn't even have a shower anymore. We've long abandon the faucet, due to certain error in the plumbing.

It's hot in here! Even hotter when you went upstairs, where my room is. I've always tried to find a way for cooling down the whole room. Like putting the fan the other way around in front of the open window. Or block the sunlight with the darkest sheet in the house!

I've long realize that the current house we live in, didn't really have a good planning. It's a very old house-it is my grandmother's-and it have been expanded for multiple of times now. It kept getting bigger but the plan still suck. I don't know, I think my father didn't get any counsel when he make these expansions.

The last renovation was on the upper rooftop, that have NOT been completed yet. The wiring is.. there's no wiring at all! I spent days waking up in the dark. I suspect that the contractor has long abandon it too! Well, it is a government sponsored project and no contractor are trustworthy nowadays. The zinc quality is very poor, I think I can hear every drop of the rain in the night. They can't even fix a door properly. Who wants a door with no lock??

I don't know when my father decide to make a house, I just hope he had the plan nice and good. But I had a feeling that it wouldn't be anytime soon. Let's just make it my dream house. And I want a windmill too!

Sarung

Hello, aku athime @ ath. Aku rasa aku tak ada pendirian yang tetap langsung. Hah. Aku suka tulis entri weblog & buku log!

Apa-apa sajalah.

Kami di rumah selalunya berbual dalam Bahasa Melayu, hanya sedikit istilah Bahasa Melayu Brunei kami gunakan. Aku sekali-sekali tak faham apa yang mereka sembangkan. Bukan sebab aku tuli, tapi sebab aku betul-betul tak faham kerana terlampau laju. Kadang-kadang tu aku terpaksa proses seminit dalam kepala otak aku, tentang apa sebenarnya yang sedang dikatakan.

Sama jugalah dengan Bahasa Inggeris. Orang kata, aku pandai 'speaking', cantik! tapi sebenarnya aku terlebih gagap kalau bertutur dalam bahasa tu. Hanya semasa aku baca teks/buku/berita saja yang aku tak gagap. Kalau bahasa Melayu pun aku perlu proses dalam 1 minit, bahasa Inggeris aku proses dalam 10 minit!

Kalau aku bercakap bahasa Melayu pula, ayat tunggang langgang. Orang lain ingat mesti aku terbuat-buat ayat macam tu. Sebenarnya, memang masalah lah! HAH!!

PABM was an event that we here in this household-or it might have just been me- always looking forward every year. Hey we don't sub to astro, not much program that worth the wait! This one though is very interesting. I usually watch it with my father in the background either listening to it or multitasking while playing sudoku, but he isn't here this year and my sister aren't interested. That wont stop me bugging her with my commentary though. Hah!

This is my favorite sarong.

Serai ....uhm... lemongrass, pandan and my-father-unidentified-and-still-not-bearing-fruits in the background. The end.

Do not share your email publicly

Reminder to everyone out there: Do not share your email publicly. By publicly means in your website, blog, comment sections, forums, public profiles or anywhere else that considered public.

Ever wonder why is your Spam box always full? Well, this is one of the reason. Spam bot is lurking everywhere harvesting for emails on public spot, that is the www. Once it found your email displayed without any protection, it dance like crazy!

If you Do want to share your email, consider to encode your email for a little protection. This will reduce your chances of getting spams. One of the encoder I used is this:
mailtoencoder.com :It's a script that enable you to display your email somewhat safely.

Another way is to use temporary email web apps.
Like this one:
mailinator.com :this is a public inbox, do not use for private conversation
 Or this one:
securemail.hidemyass.com :redirect emails to your real inbox

If you don't like any of the options, you can get creative with the email address. For example writing it like this:
athime[at]yahoo[dot][com]
Or like this
athime-at-yahoo-dot-com
etcetera. I'm not really creative. *sigh

End of reminder. Good day.

Pencarian Bloglist Aisyhah Nyais Ogos 2015

Hello Aisyah! *wave* I'm your new follower! I've only scan through your blog and read very few entries, but I think your blog is great! Your writing is fine, I like to read them. I like how your blog layout is wide and look tidy. The simple and tiny icons amuse me, the color theme is very merry!

Though, I personally don't like auto-played background music or videos, but that's irrelevant. Maybe a bit suggestion from me to show up the play/pause button. (This might be my laptop not showing the button though, no worries) *whisper* I notice that the banner aren't centered.* Overall it's an excellent depiction for a personal weblog! ^^ I actually like the themes you make.

I wish you well, and better blog traffic. *wink

Wordless Wednesday #2: Telur Ayam

Rebound [jdorama]

I'm currently watching Rebound. It's a romantic comedy drama. I don't usually pick on romantic or watch a drama at all. But after my sister rant me on about how all of my movie selection is gore-ish—or at least it have a lot of fighting scene—I look up the comedies section and found this amusing cover. Bah!

I choose this drama because it's comedic. Heh! I thought the theme—about body weight—is really interesting. The characters is amusing, and the casting was okay.

It's a social—romance—story. I don't expect much about her exercising but a lot of mushy stuff. Tell about a girl—Nobuko—who had a dream of marrying the son of a cake house owner. She broke up with his boyfriend because of her overweight, then manage to loose a lot of it after, and work in a fashion mags company! What a luck!

She ends up meeting her dream husband and the mushy, sappy stuff begin. Not my cup of tea really, but the story still keep my interest to the characters well being. HAH!

She struggle to to keep on being slim or she'll be fired and most of all... Taichi will know her great past! But she just have to eat the cakes! Did she rebound?

#Currently on: Episode 04

A/N: My older sisters are upset that I'm getting thinner.... because it doesn't suit me, they said.. I keep telling them that I'm not getting any thinner than how I used to be than a few years back ago... *Sigh. It's a good thing that now I can wear all those old shirt I haven't yet had the chance to before. Meh.

Veggies

I always had a monologue with myself everytime I plucked and chewed on the Ulam Raja, RAW. Now, that is not my favorite greens to chew on but... it grow in the front yard! My hand would slipped! And it's name is Raja, and I want to be KING!!

Well, my favorite green would be Peria after Kangkung. My least favorite is Terung Pipit, and since it grow all over the back yard, I'm suppose to endure the taste without complaint! It was a taste of betrayal! One day, I was happily eating my meals. I thought it was a good thing that mom is treating me with green peas. I love green peas!! And then I ate it, everything went blank. I was trapped in dark dark misery. After that fateful encounter, I develop strong dislike to the tiny little green thing.

So, after writing the first 2 paragraph of this entry, I realize that my vocabulary on veggies is almost to non-existence.

Okayh this is my veggie vocab....

My Pet Fish

I used to have 3 tiny goldfish.... It died on my way back to home. Now I'm keeping 3 climbing perch(ikan karuk/puyu) alive in a tiny tank. One of them was blinded in the right eye, after it first brawl. Though, they weren't so aggressive now and able to live in the same tank somewhat peacefully, I wish my mother listen to me sometime about those fishes. Poor thing have too little to no space. *sad-face*

I wish I remember the baby goldfishes names, I want to keep them still but there's hardly any goldfish in this town. I still remember their shades, they keeps me company once upon a time in an empty hostel building. *sniff* One had an almost white scale, one had strong gold and white belly, the last one had black spots. I always wanted to poke their fat bellies. TT x TT

I tried to keep guppies. Poor thing can't stand cold!!! *cries* The hostel was in the side of the woods so it gets really cold at night. I had no proper equipment to keep the bowl warm. *weep* It was a sad sad morning after.

I get attached to animals more easily than to another human being, so dying animals is not something that I wanted to experience at all. I get extremely depressed after an animal suddenly found dead or dying because of a disease or injury. It stays in my head for sometime.

I've always wanted a black goldfish. I've seen one tank full of them in a barber shop! That was when I went touring a small town in Sarawak. And then I went to my foster home and found out there's fishes! Living fishes that aren't there before. And a black goldfish!

I'm going to visit the faraway town again, and hopefully I remember to buy goldfishes. *grin*

Correcting Body's Alignment

So I've read this article at Bodybuilding.com about posture and how to correct it. I've always known that my posture is all wrong, since whenever I went to take a photo in any studio, they would have at least a minute to fix my head. Unfortunately, they cant correct my shoulders too. They probably don't want to hurt my feelings or just being courteous, but then I wouldn't like the imperfection of my body posture. I don't want perfection, I just want the imperfection to be not so obvious.

I haven't got my pictures taken yet to assess my standing posture like in the article. But I think I know much of it without even taking a picture. It's like I can feel the imbalance whenever I'm standing or siting and walking. But I'll have one my sister to take the pictures later.

So I suspect I had these;

DEVIATION 1: SWAY BACK

HIPS PRESS FORWARD AND SIT IN FRONT OF THE RIBS

DEVIATION 3: ROUNDED SHOULDERS

SHOULDERS IN FRONT OF EARS

DEVIATION 6: HEAD TILT

HEAD TILTED TO ONE SIDE; CAN BE ACCOMPANIED BY ROTATION TOWARD THAT SIDE

DEVIATION 7: UNEVEN SHOULDERS

ONE SHOULDER SITS HIGHER THAN THE OTHER

DEVIATION 8: UNEVEN HIPS

ONE HIP SITS HIGHER, CAN GIVE THE PERCEPTION OF LEG LENGTH DISCREPANCY

DEVIATION 10: ONE OR BOTH FEET TURNED OUT

TOES ARE TURNED OUT AWAY FROM THE MIDLINE OF THE BODY

That is 6 of 10 deviation that I need to correct. Correcting the Sway Back would be my priority as well as my Uneven Hips. Kendall, the author of the article, has listed the stretches and strengthening exercises that can be done to correct the body alignment. Now I don't really know much about exercises so I'm going to google the names of it.

D01: SWAY BACK

Stretches: Runner's stretch, world's greatest stretch, seated glute stretch, lying crossover, hamstring stretch, hamstring self-myofascial release (foam rolling)
Strengthening exercises: Cocoon, exercise ball pull-in, hanging leg raise, scissor kick

D03: ROUNDED SHOULDERS

Stretches: Front deltoid stretch, elbows-back stretch, chest stretch on stability ball, dynamic chest stretch, chair upper-body stretch
Strengthening exercises: Seated cable row, back fly with band, shoulder external rotation, rear- delt row

D06: HEAD TILT

Stretches: Side neck stretch, neck self-myofascial release, sternocleidomastoid stretch
Strengthening exercises: Perform daily activities (e.g., chewing, carrying, pulling, lifting, and using a cell phone) evenly on both sides, isometric side-neck exercise

DEVIATION 7: UNEVEN SHOULDERS

Stretches: Side neck stretch, neck self-myofascial release
Strengthening exercises: Perform daily activity like carrying, chewing, pulling, lifting, using a cell phone evenly on both sides; single-arm high-pulley row

DEVIATION 8: UNEVEN HIPS

Stretches: Runner's stretch, world's greatest stretch, IT-band stretch, IT-band self-myofascial release, seated glute stretch, lying cross-over, piriformis self-myofascial release, dancer's stretch
Strengthening exercises: Avoid high-impact and high-repetition exercises (running, plyometrics, etc.) until the pelvis is aligned. This will reduce the risk of secondary injuries in the ankle, knees, hips, and low back.

DEVIATION 10: ONE OR BOTH FEET TURNED OUT

Stretches: Seated glute stretch, lying cross-over, piriformis self-myofascial release, IT-band stretch, IT-band self-myofascial release, dancer's stretch
Strengthening exercises: Cocoon, exercise ball pull-in, hanging leg raise

The Runner’s Stretch
(A) Step your right foot forward and lower into a lunge, placing your fingertips on the floor or on two firm cushions if your hands don’t reach.

(B) Breathe in, then, in one motion, exhale as you straighten your right leg. Slowly return to the lunge position. Repeat four times. Switch sides.

World’s Greatest Stretch

Seated Glute Stretch
  1. Sit in a chair and cross one leg so that the foot is resting on the other knee as shown.
  2. Gently lean forward until a stretch is felt in the buttock of the crossed leg. Hold for 30 secs
  3. Repeat 3 times, 2x daily, or before and after exercise
Progression:
1) Gently push down on your knee to increase the glutes stretch
2) Progress further by leaning towards the foot resting on your knee i.e. away from the side you are stretching

Lying Crossover
  1. Laying on your back with legs extended straight and arms extended out to the sides bring one leg up so that the knee is bent 90 degrees and aligned with the hip.
  2. Reach across with the opposite arm, grabbing the knee and pulling the leg across, trying to touch the knee to the ground. Keep the extended arm and leg straight and try to keep the shoulders on the ground across with the opposite arm, grabbing the knee and pulling the leg across, trying to touch the knee to the ground. Keep the extended arm and leg straight and planted on the ground.
  3. Hold this position breathing smoothly for the duration of the stretch.
Common mistakes: Letting the knee drop below the hip towards the foot

IT-band Stretch (standing)
  1. Stand with legs together and back straight, arms at your side. Step your right leg behind your left leg, making sure both feet point forward. Put your arms on your hips.
  2. Slowly push your hips toward the right, so you are making a "C" curve with your left side. You can raise your right arm overhead and to the left.
  3. Hold for 15 to 30 seconds, feeling the stretch in your right thigh. Switch sides.

Dancer's Stretch
  1. Sit up on the floor.
  2. Cross your right leg over your left, keeping the knee bent. Your left leg is straight and down on the floor.
  3. Place your left arm on your right leg and your right hand on the floor.
  4. Rotate your upper body to the right, and hold for 10-20 seconds. Switch sides.

Cocoon
  1. Begin by lying on your back on the ground. Your legs should be straight and your arms extended behind your head. This will be your starting position.
  2. To perform the movement, tuck the knees toward your chest, rotating your pelvis to lift your glutes from the floor. As you do so, flex the spine, bringing your arms back over your head to perform a simultaneous crunch motion.
  3. After a brief pause, return to the starting position.

Hanging Leg Raise
  1. Hang from a chin-up bar with both arms extended at arms length in top of you using either a wide grip or a medium grip. The legs should be straight down with the pelvis rolled slightly backwards. This will be your starting position.
  2. Raise your legs until the torso makes a 90-degree angle with the legs. Exhale as you perform this movement and hold the contraction for a second or so.
  3. Go back slowly to the starting position as you breathe in.
  4. Repeat for the recommended amount of repetitions.
Caution: Perform this exercise slowly and deliberately as it takes some getting used to.

GATE: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri [anime]

re-blog from tumblook

Another anime that I found under Suwabe Junichi's profile. Junichi-san is voicing the leading character—Itami— for this anime. Thus, making it the second lead role for Junichi-san in this season, after voicing Worick in Gangsta.. Of course, Junichi-san is also voicing other supporting roles for various anime.

I thought something was wrong with the anime while watching the first episode. Though, I gave it a try even so. Obviously, I was mistaken after watching the next few episodes after. It might have something to do with the environment with the first episode that makes me a bit...disheartened. But give the next few minutes a try and it was all worth it!

It was another boring anime for the first 3min in the first episode, but everything went mad after that and everyone was screaming and dying. Comes in the Hero and then suddenly it ends. What a cliffhanger! I'm warning you, every episode end with an annoying, frustrating cliffhanger. (Well at least for me it's a major cliffhanger!)

So what was it all about?
A portal between world is open, putting Ginza, Tokyo, under attack by otherworldly monsters and medieval-look-a-like soldiers. Luckily the mystical forces have no chances against the Japan Ground-Self Defence Force(JSDF) weaponry and technology. Actions decided, dispatch ordered. JSDF sent out teams to the other side of the GATE. Wars ensued, not just between the world but also within both of the world.athime
I'm very in love with the First Lieutenant Itami! *grin* I really don't get him sometimes, he have his own weird-ness! Ha! As if anyone is normal in his world. I think I have too much of Junichi-san voice lately. Right after FSN:UBW, now Gansta. AND GATE. Fuh!
